This term as part of reading, room 11 students will be conducting a novel study. The students selected a novel of their own choice. First they had to complete a range of pre-reading activities.
Following the pre-reading tasks they have to do a prediction about what will happen in the novel. This is were the hard work bvegins. After every two chapters the students have to complete a journal entry. This task will require them to predict, re-predicd, write about connections in the chapters and also write a chapter summery.
After all the journals have been completed the students will complete a chart to present their understanding of the novel. They will be expected to write about the plot of the novel, about conflicts, write character studies about characters in the book and write a profile of the author.
It is very important that students manage their time very well to ensure they complete this assignment on time.
