Pastel Art.
This term we created an art piece using the contrasting properties of colors. We created a pattern using circles, squares or any other shape. The background will be coloured by a pattern of three colors that are not very contrasting. We then created a picture (Anything we liked) in the centre of the page. We will use the same pattern to create the picture, but with another three colors that are in contrast with the first three. We did not use vivid lines for the outside lines of the pictures.

Central Counties Cross Country!
What a day! Yes, we have so much to be proud off.
Yesterday we had the Central Counties Cross Country field day. This is a title that have been sidestepping Reremoana School for the past few years. We even had a loosing margin of only 1 point last year.
This year we came prepared. Most of the athletes arrived very prepared as they showed up for training sessions almost every morning. Now that is commitment if you have ever seen it.
We arrived at Totara park very early to get ourselves ready for the event. We had a walk through the course first. Then we had to make a very important decision - Shoes or no shoes. It seems like a minor decision, but every athlete had to work out what would suit them best.
Results:
Individual: Denzil O'Shannessey Year 7 Boys - 2nd, Katie Lowry Year 8 Girls 1st, Jessica Yakkas Dance 2nd, Year 8 Boys - Cole Richardson 2nd, Dylan Wichman 3rd.
Teams:
Year 7 Girls 3rd, Year 7 Boys 2nd, Year 8 Girls 1st, Year 8 Boys 1st.
Well done to all these teams!
And off course the final result!
Reremoana School the new Central Counties Cross Country Champions!!
Congratulations everyone.

Students Committed to achieve in Cross Country!
Some students are very committed to be the best they can be in Cross Country. They are happy to take on the environment to keep up with their training.
One extremely foggy morning a huge group of athletes showed up for training, and with the huge amount of rain we are having training on a very muddy field.
Good luck with the actual Cross Country field day.
