Knowledge - A - Thon!
To support our parents in paying for our School Camp at the end of the year, we have raised money by taking part in a knowledge a thon.
We had to get people to sponsor us for every correct question in a knowledge a thon test. We had 100 facts to learn. Some students learned 4 facts a day, other students learned all the facts in one week. Our teachers helped us by setting up class tests and a quiz.
Today we had our knowledge a thon tests in the hall and the students that worked hard did very well. Hopefully they will be able to pay for their entire camp.

Volleyball!
This term as part of our large ball skills program, we learnt how to play volleyball. We had to learn the rules of volleyball and of course how to play volleyball.
There are different shots to play in volleyball, the dig shot is the most difficult shot of all. That is the shot you have to play after a serve and when the ball is lower than your shoulders. The set shot is a lot easier, you play the set shot when the ball is above your shoulders. Other shots are called the serve and the spike.
We had a lot of fun learning how to play volleyball. We even helped students from the Tui team prepare for their field day.
Hopefully we will be able to use these new skills to put a great team together for the Central Counties field day next term
